Last night was filled to the brim with local creativity/creators. The only thing in the world that makes me feel happier and more alive than creating is being around creative people. I am lucky to know a bunch of them.
Cassy I went to see the Death and Destruction show at ellO gallery here in Portsmouth. (Cassy had work featured in this show, as she often does at ellO.) My good friend Richard was there with Josh Belanger, who was showing. (They are the guys that do The Fatsquad, by the way.)
John Herman (leader of NH Media Makers and the brains behind a million websites and projects, such as Odd Noggin Land) stopped by with his adorable wife, Danielle. Tara also stopped by with her fiance and chatted with us for awhile.
All of these amazing artists in one place! It made me want to run home and start a dozen new projects. Instead, I had sushi and a scorpion bowl with Cassy. We have exciting plans to collaborate on some pieces soon.
Speaking of, actually — one of our ideas is for her to draw on my photographs. Two related questions that you can help me with. 1.) Do any photographs come to mind that you think are worthy of Cassy’s amazing drawings? and 2.) Any tips/suggestions/thoughts on how this should work?
PS. To pimp one more New Hampshire Creative – if you guys know of any businesses that are in need of showing themselves off with creative panoramics, you should tell me. Kirk does incredible work. (Contact me first, though, because he said he’d give me 10% if I send people his way. Ha!)

I think that you should choose photos that you love the most, BUT ones that you are also okay with letting someone else put their mark on. I understand that photography is personal and I don’t want to “ruin” any of your work. I also want to be completely surprised so I’m not going to help you choose anything.

I think the idea of drawing photographs is awesome. I’ve always wanted to try that myself, but I’m too chicken to try. Unfortunately I can’t think of anything off the top of my head of your photos that would stand out as being uber-awesome. Although all your photography rocks, so…
