This handsome devil is Charlie II. (My cameras are named after the late Charles Scott Szuber, who you will hear more about next month.) Charlie II is a Canon 40D that I purchased on Saturday.
The original Charlie (a Canon Digital Rebel XT) was sold to me by Melissa Koren Wilson when she upgraded to the XTi. I love that camera. It’s been my sidekick for almost two years, and I would’ve been lost without it. But, it was time to upgrade. (These things happen.) Charlie has been semi-retired, and I am extremely excited to get to know this new camera.
(By the way, deciding what camera to buy was one of the most difficult and agonizing decisions I have ever made. I know that sounds ridiculous!)
I ordered a bunch of new accessories to go with this new camera, but they are on their way from Amazon and I will tell you about them later.
In the meantime, thank you to the aforementioned Melissa Koren Wilson, Kirk Membry and Noah Sanders for their help in selecting a camera and Cassy for putting up with me through the process.

You’re very welcome! I don’t think I know as much as you think I know, but I’m glad someone believes I have expertise <3

Camera upgrades are a fine fine thing. I look forward to seeing what it can do! I’m (in a roundabout way) getting a new camera too and I’m so excited. Hopefully, it’ll make a notable improvement in my shots.
ps: Just noticed that you have me linked. Thank you! I’m very flattered and will return the favor
