Wonderbug Wednesday: Pamela Sterling

I met Pamela through Twitter. She’s sweet and fantabulous. Also, you will read below that she’s going to be a grandmother soon, and I have to tell you, I hope that I look like her when I am a grandmother. (I wouldn’t mind looking like her NOW, to be honest with you – look at this.)

Who she is and what she does:

In ‘real life’ I am a mum to 2 grown up boys and about to become a grandmother for the first time. I live with my younger son, 3 mad cats and a rabbit in a town house but long to live in the country. I work in marketing with a university to help pay the bills but my passion is art. I also love theatre, cooking, sewing and spending time with my friends, who are wonderful.

I am always busy and I love it that way.

I am a natural artist (just started training) who spends time exploring different medias and techniques. I love colour and texture and I go from painting abstracts rich in texture to detailed illustration type drawings. I love variety in my artwork and would hate to be tied to one style. I have just completed a challenge where I completed one piece of art every day for 30 days…..not an easy task while still working full time but a real adventure. I explored and shared the many faces of my work including ‘Domino’ who you can see here (above).

Three things Pamela loves about herself:

My sense of fun, I have no intention of growing old gracefully, I intend to do it as disgracefully as possible J

My red hair…..I love being a redhead even with the freckles.

My friends….who try very hard to keep my feet on the ground but usually fail.

What she’s into lately:

I am addicted to twitter at the moment. I love seeing what other artists are doing and chatting to them, would never have found most of them without Twitter.

My other addiction is fudge, Orkney Fudge, to be precise, it is my guilty pleasure and I never share. ;)

Who she admires:

I admire anyone who follows their dream and works hard to achieve it.

I also admire people who use their talent and their skills to help others and support good causes.

There you have it! To learn more about Pamela, check out her blog.
