So, I sort of thought that quitting my job would leave me with plenty of time to run my business and explore my creative endeavors – not to mention plenty of time to sweat my ass off at the gym and cook nutritious meals.
Oh, wrong.
November was an especially busy month. Crazy client deadlines, crazy school deadlines, and about twice as much babysitting than is normally expected of me. But November is over, and I am in the process of unburying myself.
I’m disappointed to discover – as I come up to catch my breath – that there is a whole lot of cleaning up to do. A whole lot of getting back on track. I sort of don’t know where to start.
I am getting my feet wet by working on the last few pages in the art journal I made back in February. I’ve started some design concepts for the business that I’m launching in January…
(… Oh! Did I tell you that I’m launching a business in January? It’s true. I am taking the leap from ‘freelancer’ to ‘business owner’, which is very big and exciting. Stick around for that.)
I sort of feel like I’m starting all over on a messy canvas, though, which means I’ll probably redesign this dearly beloved blogthing soon.
This is rambly and I really have nothing to tell you except – hello. Thank you for being here.

Dude, I am so glad I survived November as well. It was one of the hardest months of this year for me.
I feel like I’m going to be spending this month cleaning up the messes of November too.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with here (and with your new business, too!)

Hey, good luck with the business. It’s hard work, but I have the feeling you’ll make it!
